Marital and Relationship Therapy
Dr. Pierson completed the rigorous training at the Gottman Institute in Seattle, Washington. John and Julie Gottman are pioneers in researching and restoring relationships. Their highly acclaimed workshop, The Art and Science of Love, provides an introduction to their evidence-based program to improve marital and committed relationships. Their book, The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work, covers the material presented in the workshop.
Dr. Pierson has also trained with Terrence Real, another pioneer in the field of strengthening relationships. In his work with couples Dr. Pierson draws on the down-to-earth, effective strategies described in Real’s book, The New Rules of Marriage.
